TF1 Ties The Knot With Marry Me Now

France’s number one channel TF1 has now commissioned Armoza Formats’ docu-reality Marry Me Now. The first season of the French adaptation is set to premiere during prime time on August 10th and will be produced by Reservoir Prod (a Lagardère Studios company). Airing under the name Cheri, Epouse Moi Maintenant (Honey, Marry Me Now!), the show will be hosted by French TV personality Karine Ferri.

Most recently, it was announced that Marry Me Now has been licensed in the 46 countries of sub-Saharan Africa and will begin airing on M-Net’s 1 Magic in November.

Marry Me Now (60’), created by Odelia Yakir, Armoza Formats and Zipi Rozenblum, is the emotional and empowering docu-reality that gives women the chance to take charge of their own fate. Each episodes follows one determined woman, who has had enough of waiting for a ring. She will prepare her own wedding in just a few days and all without the groom-to-be’s knowledge. On the last day she will surprise her partner in her wedding dress with an ambush proposal. If he says no, it’s all over… but if he says yes, they will tie the knot on the spot!

Fabrice Bailly, Head of Programs and Acquisitions at TF1, “‘TF1 aims to enhance its range of headlining program brands with innovative and emotional formats. This is why we are very excited for ‘Cheri, Épouse moi maintenant’, hosted by the talented Karine Ferri.”

Hugo Jagueneau, Managing Director in Charge of Programs at Reservoir Prod, “‘Marry Me Now’ is a simple and very effective idea that is a strong true story, as magical as a fairytale and as suspenseful as a drama. We are very proud to produce it for the most watched TV channel in Europe, TF1, and are looking forward to helping more people get married.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “We are excited to see the continued growth of ‘Marry Me Now’ worldwide. It’s expansion to TFI, the largest channel in France, proves the need for shows that are empowering- both to the couples who are on it and the viewers who watch at home.
