Hostages And Street Justice Commissioned in Brazil

Brazil’s Globosat has now licensed two hit dramas from the Armoza Formats scripted catalogue. The largest multichannel cable and satellite TV service in Latin America and Brazil has commissioned the ready-mades of Hostages and Street Justice, to air as part of a special focus on Israel this month.

Globosat is currently airing the first seasons of both dramas and will continue with the second season of Hostages, as well as the second and third season of Street Justice, while also streaming the finished tapes on their online platform.

Hostages has been acquired and adapted in over 20 countries to date including on the UK’s BBC4 and France’s Canal+, while Street Justice has had 3 successful seasons on Israel’s Channel 10 as their highest rated drama.

Hostages (60’) follows a renowned surgeon who is unwittingly thrown into a political conspiracy when she is ordered to sabotage a routine operation on the President, or her family will die. The intrigue continues with a second hit season of intense psychological drama, as we follow the officer who held Dr. Danon’s family hostage and abducted the Prime Minister to save his wife. Produced by Yetzira Ivrit, the original Israeli series won Best International Drama TV Series and Best Outstanding Actress at Monte Carlo TV Festival.

Street Justice (60’) blurs the lines between legality and justice in a series packed with non-stop action, explosive stunts, gun fights, gritty crimes, car chases, dangerous romance and more. Developed by Artza Productions, the series stars a hot-headed police detective who doesn't have the patience to wait for criminals to make mistakes before taking the law into his own hands. He will clean up the streets, and if he has to cut some corners, he'll do it without thinking twice.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats,“These two dramas have a strong universal appeal, and we’re proud to be representing Israel on Brazil and Latin America’s leading network. Over recent years, we at Armoza Formats have been thrilled to bring acclaimed Israeli dramas to the world in both their original form and for local adaptation, and we look forward to continuing to provide viewers with intriguing and exciting stories.
