Germany & Poland Go For More Of Armoza’s How To Be

Armoza Formats’ celebrity interview show How To Be has now been re-commissioned for a fourth season on Germany’s ZDF and a second season on Poland’s TTV.

Locally titled Kessler ist… and produced by ITV Studios, the new season of the German adaptation is set to air this summer, following a successful third season last July that achieved 13% share. Meanwhile the Polish adaptation, which aired last September and increased the channel’s ratings in the key demo (16-49), will air their new season this autumn.

Developed by Artza Productions in collaboration with Armoza Formats, How To Be (30-60’) is a fresh take on the typical celebrity interview shows. With celebrities trained to conceal the personal details of their lives, this original format flips the interview process on its head to allow the host to become the celebrity, and the celebrity to become the host. In each episode, the role reversal finale will provide a startling moment of clarity and candid reflection, through allowing the celebrity to confront himself and ask all the deeply personal questions that he would never have answered in a regular interview format.

Ellen Vukic, Executive Producer at ITV Studios Germany, We are very proud of the continued success of “Kessler ist…” in Germany. Already in its fourth season, our host Michael Kessler will once again show his impressive ability to transform and let celebrities lead the most personal interview of their lives.

Lidia Kazen, Programming Director of TTV, “We are excited by the opportunity of the second season of this Armoza format on TTV. For our viewers ‘How To Be’ is a great match between high quality-entertainment and the astonishing stories of celebrities whose life isn’t usually seen from such a refreshing perspective.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “‘How to Be’ brings interviews to life in a deep and unique way,  turning celebrity interviews on their head by making the interviewee become the interviewer. We look forward to continuing to bring surprising and authentic interviews to the German and Polish audiences with these new seasons.”
